Ocosta School District extends heartfelt thanks to Boots for Bears, a community-based organization from Hoquiam, Washington, for their generous donation of warm jackets, gloves, and sweatshirts for our elementary students.

Boots for Bears began with a simple mission of providing boots and shoes to children in need. Over time, their efforts have expanded to include coats, clothing, hygiene supplies, and other essentials for students and families throughout Grays Harbor. Their work helps ensure children have the basic necessities they need to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

With our wet, chilly coastal weather, warm clothing makes a tremendous difference for our students, both in the classroom and on the playground.

We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers and supporters of Boots for Bears for extending their generosity to Ocosta Elementary. Their kindness is a wonderful example of communities coming together to support children.

Thank you, Boots for Bears, for helping our Wildcats stay warm and reminding our students that they belong and are cared for!
